PHUTEK - BIOGRAPHY

Raising the bar to even greater heights in 2019, Phutek is showing no signs of relenting from his mission of spreading his own unique and un-compromising stance on techno. From starting the year with no-less than eight gigs at Miami’s WMC, a follow up tour of New York, Numerous ADE appearances, to yet more chart crashing music to appease his ever-increasing fan-base! With his track Violator also hitting the Beatport No 1 spot as 2018 drew to a close, it’s a pivotal and exciting time indeed for the Coventry based powerhouse!

With regular excursions last year on Intec Records, TK Records and of course his very own Layer 909 imprint, many are clambering for a piece of the action, with official reworks of XL Recordings rave classic T99 ‘Anasthasia’, Pants & Corset's anthemic 'Malice In Wonderland' and  more besides. Phutek was also the focal point of a generous double page spread in dance music bible ‘Mixmag’ this October, not only grabbing the attention of the dance-floor this year but also the higher levels of the dance-music press also.

When it comes to recent breakthrough artists, there are not many that can compete with the accolades achieved by Phutek in recent times. Carl Cox’s most supported artist by a country mile in 2018. Miami WMC saw Carl champion Phutek’s much requested rework of Goldie’s ‘Inner City Life’ on two consecutive nights in the Resistance megastructure. Making it one of the most talked about tracks from the week.

With Carl closing no less than eight festivals with Phutek’s music in 2018, most notably Awakenings and Creamfields - do endorsements and industry approval really come much bigger? It’s no surprise he has snapped up further releases from him for his own Intec label this year, including also a collaboration with US Techno legend Frankie Bones. Another staunch admirer who recently quoted…'Phutek’s infectious energy as a DJ and within his productions is unreal, I mean this guy is like the musical God Son of Carl Cox’.

Where many acts jumped ship to the slower BPMs, Phutek always remained loyal to his true passion for the dark, driving, energetic and exciting music out there. Commensurate with regular support and salutes from scene leaders such as Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Renier Zonneveld, Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything, Jam El Mar, Markus Schulz and many many more!

As a requested artist for Spektre’s recent Respekt Tour and a diary filling up fast - Phutek continues to set the scene alight with his unique techno flavour and really is a name that is on everyone’s lips right now. There has never been a better time to book this imminent headline act for your club, event or festival.
