LAB4 - BIOGRAPHY
With a career spanning two decades, ten studio albums, (for labels inc Avex, Resist, Tidy Trax, One Inch, Alien Trax, Havoc, Fragile and Hard Trance Europe.) not to mention racking up some serious air miles touring the globe as the hottest Live Hard Trance act on the planet. There really is no disputing Lab4’s meteoric status and fan base through the years.
During this time Lab4 gained huge followings in Japan, Australia, The Netherlands and of course here in the UK, As a result of the extremely popular live shows Lab4 received many awards and accolades, including ‘Best Live Hard Dance Act’ Hard Dance Awards 2004 – 2006, a Top 20 ‘Most Influential Electronic Bands of All Time’ in Loud Magazine, Japan. Once even being invited onto BBC Radio 1 by the late and legendary John Peel, at their Maida Vale studios.
2014 was a particularly good year and witnessed Lab4 headlining and co-headlining huge international fixtures alongside Showtek, Steve Aoki, Yoji, Sean Tyas and ASYS in Japan, Australia and the UK.
Not limiting themselves just to the dance floor, Lab4 have also worked on many high profile advertising campaigns for the likes of Bacardi, Reebok (Superbowl), Pepsi, BBC, Coca Cola and Auto Modellista by Capcom. 2010 also saw the film “Time Lapse” starring John Rhys-Davies (Lord Of The Rings), Danielle Panabaker (Mad Men, The Flash, take advantage of their musical programming for its soundtrack.
A simply electric and floor filling act relied on time and time again by some of the biggest brands out there. Lab4 have a proven track record of igniting (and destroying) dance floors for the likes of Godskitchen, Tidy, Frantic, Slinky, Creamfields, Escape From Samsara, Pendragon and just too many others to mention. It’s been one hell of a ride already, and still shows no sign of slowing!
More recent contributions include a rockin’ full 6 track EP on HTE Recordings, entitled ‘ctrl_alt_destroy’, amongst various releases also on Les’s own label Atomika. The Hard Trance Europe Volume Two CD Compilation also hits the shelves this summer through Black Hole Recordings, with Lab4 being requested to mix a disc for the occasion.
2019 will see Les take a more solo approach to performing as Lab4, and is available for the full no-holds barred Live show, or a straight up DJ Set. Having already made electric appearances this year in Finland, Fabric (London), Frantic (London), and soon to be Ibiza for the almighty Captured Festival this summer - the fuse is firmly lit for the next chapter in the epic Lab4 story.
