Rewind to the year 2000, a new millenium had begun and UK club culture was fully locked in overdrive, week in, week out. Harder club sounds were very much the soundtrack to the masses up and down the country and one standout name that was always on heavy rotation was the 12 Inch Thumpers. With a back catalogue of their trademark bouncy sample-heavy Hard House sound seeing a popular resurgence in recent times, and the era-defining 'Don't Cross The Line' having never left the Hard House stage and playlists, founding member, producer and Thumper originator Alan Prosser crafted a legacy that has undeniably stood the test of time.

Having taken his unique Thumpers sound to all corners of the globe including electric shows in Canada, South Africa, Belgium, Australia and Ibiza, shifting 300,000 records worldwide and featuring on iconic compilations such as the Hard House Euphoria series from Ministry Of Sound, if you were clubbing 'hard' anywhere in the world during the early noughties, chances are you were to the sounds of the 12 Inch Thumpers.
